Why I Created KOEY: Swimwear for Real Women in Real Moments

After working in the fashion industry for over 15 years and having three kids, I found myself in a familiar spot, standing in front of a mirror before a family holiday, trying on swimsuit after swimsuit, none of them feeling quite right.

I’d scroll online for hours, looking for something that supported me through motherhood, both pre and post-baby, especially around my stomach, where my c-section trophy quietly lives. And each time, I was met with two extremes: swimwear that looked amazing but didn’t support me where I needed it most, or swimwear that felt like they belonged in a different decade.

It wasn’t until a recent holiday was coming up that I truly felt it. What I need doesn’t really exist.
And if I feel this way, surely other women do too.

From Production to Purpose

My journey in the fashion industry began over 15 years ago in clothing production, where I learned how garments are made from the inside out, every stitch, fabric choice, and technical detail mattered. I fell in love with how clothing could be both functional and beautiful when done right.

As time went on, my path evolved into the world of marketing, where I gained a deeper understanding of what customers connect with what works, what sells, and most importantly, what’s missing from the market.

Through this blend of hands-on experience and strategic insight, I noticed a gap. Not just in the industry, but in my own wardrobe.

I decided to take the leap and build something different,  something women like me had been quietly needing for years.

KOEY was born from that gap.

A swimwear brand made for real women - for us. Women juggling life, motherhood, careers, friendships, and everything in between. Women who want to feel confident, comfortable, and supported, whether they’re running after toddlers on the beach or soaking up five minutes of sunshine during nap time.

A Brand That Reflects Us

KOEY isn’t about chasing trends or looking "perfect." It’s about being real, because real is radiant.

My idea is simple:
To create sustainable, flattering swimwear for women who need support and deserve to feel amazing.

From supportive fits to consciously chosen fabrics, every detail is designed to move with you, not against you. Whether you’re swimming, sitting, breastfeeding, laughing, or just breathing in that salty sea air.

Inspired by Our Aussie Coastline

I grew up in a small coastal town in Victoria. Most of my childhood summers were spent road-tripping up the East Coast of Australia, discovering hidden rivers, windswept beaches, and secret swimming spots.

KOEY is inspired by those places and by the women who find joy, strength, and softness in them.

This brand is my way of giving something back. A love letter to every woman who wants to feel good in her swim again.
